JOB TITLE:Guest Services
LOCATION:Shakti Salon
REPORTS TO:Salon Manager

 

Primary Objective:       

Shakti’s Guest Services Department is the heart of our business. Our Guest Services Team Members are passionate about great service, the Aveda mission, hairdressing and fashion. They are inspired to translate this passion through creating personalized service experiences for our guests and for our Team Members. Guest Services Team Members are the “glue” that makes an outstanding workplace and guest experiences possible while at the same time building our outstanding business and 30+ year reputation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides great service on the phone, welcoming guests and Team Members and throughout the Guest Service Cycle.
  • Consistently ensuring the Aveda Guest Service Cycle and the Aveda 5 Star Guest Experience Routine to guests providing an excellent experience from beginning to end.
  • Ensure “on-time” service delivery through effective support, coordination, communication and management of Team Members.
  • Provide hair and wellness expertise and excellent service to guests and educating guests on home care, meeting and exceeding established service and sales goals.
  • Present and reinforce a professional appearance always, in accordance with the dress code standards.
  • Ensure salon is “guest ready” always which includes proper product replenishment, and cleaning as required.
  • Contribute to the growth and productivity of the salon, by working effectively with other team members to build a service oriented, quality and excellence driven company we all benefit from through profit sharing.
  • Seek out ongoing education, coaching and training. We are an education, learning and performance driven company.
  • Ensure respectful use of professional inventory, in accordance with Aveda’s recommended product usage guidelines.
  • Perform all necessary functions in the salon as requested, to keep entire team on schedule.
  • Set a positive example for all other team members and act in the role of mentor for new staff members when needed.
  • Contribute to the growth and artistic standards of the educational team.
  • Attend meetings and education as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Due to our commitment to the environment, a strong alignment to the Aveda mission is essential.
  • An outgoing, genuinely caring personality and commitment to providing outstanding service to customers and fellow Team Members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to attend and satisfactorily complete all education as required.
  • Ability to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
  • “Tech savvy” including social media, computer experience and ability to learn scheduling, customer record and point of sale software.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is a service as well as a supervisory role. This individual is expected to perform in a professional manner at all times and may be called upon from time to time to coach, mentor and provide support and empowerment to fellow staff members.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include ability to hear on the phone in a busy often noisy work environment.
